10 Seashell Room Decorating Ideas!

Good Morning fellow beach combers! Simply wanted to share a few sea shell decorating ideas that we've gathered over on Pinterest. (SO DARN ADDICTING!) Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, it's the perfect time to start thinking about bringing the feel of your coast inside with driftwood, shells and found sea glass... Use your beachcombing finds to show off your love of the sea!
Here are Ten of my favorite rooms - all full of fun sea shell displays!

3. Create an Amazing Fireplace with your Shell Finds! Wow! What a creative, beautiful way to show off sea shells, starfish and sand dollars - embedding them in an impressive fireplace. (I am definitely doing this at our next house!)
4. Use your Shells to make a cool gallery art wall - like this incredible collection created in a beautiful Washington, D.C. Rowhouse! Featured in House Beautiful
5. Have your Specimen Shells be the star of the show! What else to you need? Maybe just add a chunky knit throw and a great book!
6. Elegant and simple. A lovely large seashell and sea fan display with aqua glass bottles makes a subtle, but beautifully coastal statement.
7. Fill a Silvered Bowl with Seashells Keep it interesting though - add glass balls, etc.

The key is to not let your space become a big "hodge-podge" of a "beachy" decor mess. Which is easy to do, if you are not careful with your collections, just remember to edit, edit and edit your space some more plus change things out for interest and with the evolving seasons and your lifestyle. I promise it will make your home more inviting and you will never be bored with your ever changing shell finds!
