The process used to create it is challenging and very time-consuming. First the vase is thrown by one artisan; then another artist works by hand to apply the octopus to the profile of the cream vase before it is hand glazed and fired. The artful application and the dripping of the reactive blue glaze, and organic ruffled edges makes each sculpted vase piece a one-of-kind art design with a strong Mediterranean aesthetic!
